A Pair of Yoga Pants and 10 Things Worth Letting Go Of

Hello Reader,

I hope you are doing well as we move into the month of May. Where I am currently living, I'm hoping to be able to put the winter clothes away soon. 🥶 The weather is starting to warm up very, very slowly.

But you know what? I am grateful for every day that I wake up to see the sun rise and my home filled with morning light. That is all I ask, no matter what's happening outside my window.

Speaking of the wardrobe and clothes, can I tell you about a moment I had recently, standing in front of my mirror in a pair of yoga pants I've always loved?

Something had shifted, and I don't just mean in the yoga pants department, if you know what I mean. That moment of pause, of quietly wondering should I still be wearing this, turned into a whole conversation I needed to have.

With myself first, and then with you.

Because I have a feeling you've had that same moment. Maybe not with yoga pants, but with something. And I think it's time we talked about it honestly.

This new post is about dressing with confidence after 70 on our own terms. Not a what-to-wear list, not a trend report, just a real conversation about working with the bodies we have today, trusting the style we've always known, and showing up every morning looking like ourselves.

Whether you love fashion or couldn't care less, there's something in this one for you.

And on the subject of confidence, my other new post is a little different from anything I've written in a while. It's not about your wardrobe or your home or your routine. It's about something quieter than that.

It's called 10 Things to Let Go Of to Feel More Like Yourself Again. And if you've ever had that moment, the one where you catch yourself mid-conversation or on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon and think, when did I stop feeling like me, this one is for you.

We're not talking about a dramatic overhaul or a self-improvement project.

Just ten honest, relatable things that have a way of quietly crowding out the real you over time.

Things like the apology habit. The comparisons to who you used to be. The waiting for the right moment to finally show up as yourself.

I think you'll recognize yourself in more than one of them.

That's all for this week, my friend. For those of you who are moms (literally or as a mother figure to someone important in your life), have a wonderful Mother's Day! 💗🌷

Stay safe, be well, pray for peace.

Hello Reader, I used to think looking put-together meant more — more pieces, more planning, more time I didn't actually have. Turns out it's the opposite. This week I'm sharing my actual go-to formula: the anchor piece I build every outfit around, my simple rule for color, why fit beats trend every time, and the one small finishing touch that pulls it all together without adding more effort to your morning. Spoiler: it's not about having more. It's about having the right few things, and...

Hello Reader, I noticed something on a Wednesday morning that I haven't been able to stop thinking about since. I was out on the lanai, coffee in hand, and instead of already running through my list for the day, I just sat there. Watched the birds. Let ten minutes pass without once checking the clock. Old me would have called that wasted time. But it didn't feel wasted. It felt like relief. That small moment turned into this week's post, which is really about something I think a lot of us are...

Hello Reader, I want to tell you about something small I've been doing before bed that's made a bigger difference than I expected. For a long time, my evenings didn't slow down just because my days got quieter. If anything, I filled that open space with more- more projects, more ideas, more "just one more thing" before I finally turned off the lights. Sound familiar? Whether your evenings are full of a spouse's routine, grown kids who still find reasons to call after dinner, or a project you...
