It's Never Too Late for a New Chapter

Hi Reader,

I have something a little different to share with you today.

If you've been reading Inspire My Style for a while, you know this space has never really been about me. It's about you, your style, your wellness, your home, your mindset, all the small and large ways we keep moving forward together. I've kept it that way on purpose.

But every so often, life hands you a moment too big to keep tucked away behind the usual topics. Recently, I signed the papers on my Michigan home. Sold. Not "under contract," not "we'll see," but done. And in that quiet moment, standing in a house that wasn't mine anymore, something in me shifted.

I'm moving back to Florida, a place I called home for twelve years, ten of them with my husband. It means leaving my children, grandchildren, and siblings here in Michigan, which is not a small thing, and I won't pretend otherwise.

But it also means choosing warmth, both the kind you feel on your skin and the kind you feel in your spirit, while I still have, Lord willing, plenty of years ahead to enjoy it.

I'm sharing this with you not because I think my story is more important than yours, but because I have a feeling some of you are standing at the edge of your own new chapter right now, wondering if it's too late, or too much, or too far outside what everyone expects of you.

I wanted you to hear, from someone who has lived enough years to know better, that it isn't. You aren't. Whatever your next chapter looks like, I hope today's post gives you a little courage to turn the page.

It's Never Too Late for a New Chapter in Life

Hello Reader, I used to think looking put-together meant more — more pieces, more planning, more time I didn't actually have. Turns out it's the opposite. This week I'm sharing my actual go-to formula: the anchor piece I build every outfit around, my simple rule for color, why fit beats trend every time, and the one small finishing touch that pulls it all together without adding more effort to your morning. Spoiler: it's not about having more. It's about having the right few things, and...

Hello Reader, I noticed something on a Wednesday morning that I haven't been able to stop thinking about since. I was out on the lanai, coffee in hand, and instead of already running through my list for the day, I just sat there. Watched the birds. Let ten minutes pass without once checking the clock. Old me would have called that wasted time. But it didn't feel wasted. It felt like relief. That small moment turned into this week's post, which is really about something I think a lot of us are...

Hello Reader, I want to tell you about something small I've been doing before bed that's made a bigger difference than I expected. For a long time, my evenings didn't slow down just because my days got quieter. If anything, I filled that open space with more- more projects, more ideas, more "just one more thing" before I finally turned off the lights. Sound familiar? Whether your evenings are full of a spouse's routine, grown kids who still find reasons to call after dinner, or a project you...
